BOTOX® Cosmetic (onabotulinumtoxinA) is a simple, non-surgical injectable treatment
that can help smooth out facial wrinkles between the brows, forehead lines and “crow’s
feet” near the eyes. Botox® works by blocking the nerve impulses and temporarily
preventing contraction of muscles, resulting in smoother and fewer wrinkles.  Over time, cumulative benefits are observed with regular treatments.   Botox® can also be used for preventative signs of aging.  Results can last between 3-5 months.

Treatment sessions are catered for each patient. Dosage and sites of injection are
dependent upon gender, muscle mass, strength of muscle and expected results relayed
by the patient. Results can be seen as early as 2 days.

Injections are done with a small needle and normally take just minutes. No anesthesia
is necessary, but ice can be applied prior to injection. No downtime is needed.
Minimal redness is seen but is resolved within fifteen minutes. Bruising is possible, but
rare.

Botox® is also FDA-approved for the treatment of excessive underarm sweating,
(severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis) that is not adequately managed with topical
medications. Results normally lasts up to 6 months.
